INSURANCE

Baby Your Baby –  Baby Your Baby (BYB) is temporary medical coverage (Medicaid) for low-income, pregnant women who qualify.  Call (435) 792-6500 for help.  Aplly for this before Medicaid.  See link below.  

Medicaid – Below you will find a link to apply for Medicaid. You may qualify even if you are not a citizen.  Your immigration status will not be reported upon application.  

EMPLOYMENT

US Deparment of Labor – Help with resume building, training, job lists, veteran, and employment benefits.  

Kelly Services – Find a job.  

Utah Jobs – Find a job.

OB/GYN PROVIDERS

Midtown Clinic – This non-profit group of seven clinics helps provide quality and affordable healthcare services to residents of Ogden, Davis County and Salk Lake City.  They offer a sliding-scale and see everyone whether they have Medicaid or no insurance at all.   See link below.  

Healthwest- This non-profit also provides a sliding-scale based on income.  An office-visit can be as low as $20.

Cache Valley Hospital – Accepts most medicaid and offers a sliding-scale.

Cache Valley Women’s Center – 

Budge Clinic

Mermaid Birth – midwives, homebirth, and birthing center.

FOOD

Cache Community Food Bank – You can sign up to visit 2 times a month to stock up on food.

Department of Workforce Services – Apply for food-stamps. 

WIC – Provides basic food items for mothers and children under the age of 5 years old.

Porch Pantry – Located at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 310 North 800 East, Hyrum, Utah.  Drive up and get food from the pantry as needed.  Under servelliance so take only what needed.  

 

CLOTHING

Somebody’s Attic – 39 West 100 North, Logan, Utah.   435-535-8424. Call or go by their store for help with clothing.

BREASTFEEDING

WIC – Offer support, breastfeeding education, and breast pumps.

HOUSING

BRAG – The Housing Authority administers the Housing Choice Voucher Program, formerly known as Section 8.  The purpose of the program is to provide monthly rental assistance as a long-term assistance.

WAB Warming Center – Offers a warm place to stay the night for free during cold months.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Government programs may help you pay for food, housing, health care, and other basic living expenses.

DIAPERS

Will help by providing some diapers each month.

MENTAL HEALTH

Bear River Mental Health- take medicaid.

ABUSE

Capsa –  is a non-profit organization that provides free and confidential servies to victime of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and rape in Cache County.

Governemnt Information and List of Shelters for victims of abuse.

National Human Trafficking – Are you being trafficked.  There is hope. Call 1-888-373-7888 for help.

Counseling

CAPSA – CAPSA has clinical therapists are trauma informed experts in treating anxiety, depression, and other disorders.  Their services are free and confidential to adults, teens, and children.

STD Testing

The Bear River Health Department distributes free at-home STI test. There is also a clinic available.

ADDICTION

SAMHSA’s National Helpline – 1-800-662-HELP (also known as the Treatment Referral Routing Service. A free confidential, 24 hour-a-day, 365 day-a-year, information service in English and Spanish for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders.  This service provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.

CHILD-CARE

Headstart – Early Head Start programs serve infants and toddlers under the age of 3, and pregnant women.  They offer support to low-income infants and toddlers and their families.

The Family Place – They provide caregivers and children with a weekly 2 hour break on a temporary basis, generally 6 months of care.  Call 435-752-8880 for availability.  There could be a wait list.

Government Assistance – Government Assistance can help cover the cost of childcare.

Parenting Classes

The Pregnancy Resource Center offers over 200 free parenting classes that you can take right on your phone.  You can earn points with each class with which you can purchase much needed items for your little one from our boutique.  All we need is your name and phone number.

Post Abortion Support

Our Post Abortion Support is a physical, emotional, and spiritual group led by someone who experienced an abortion.  At the Pregnancy Resource Center of Cache Valley, we understand the importance of providing a caring and supportive environment, especially during times of emotional trauma and healing.  Please call our office at 435-752-1222 for information on how you can participate in this free service.

 

 This “First 9 Months” video explains what a woman may experience during her nine months of pregnancy.  The video shows the milestones and development of the baby.

 

 

 

This “Healthy Pregnancy” video discusses common symptoms of pregnancy and warning signs.  There are also suggestions on what to eat and what to avoid.

 

Remember, if you are pregnant you have 3 options.  Those options are parenting the child, aborting the baby, or putting the baby up for adoption.  The following video looks at those 3 options.
